Paintings Completed: Zero. I really need to get back on the wagon.

Current Reads: (Reading) Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed; An Oprah Book Club selection. "A powerful, blazingly honest memoir: the story of an eleven-hundred-mile solo hike that broke down a young woman reeling from catastrophe—and built her back up again." - I know this one has been making the rounds in the blogosphere; I just started it, so no opinions as of yet.
(Listening to) The Scarlett Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne: My goal this year is to read and/or listen to one "classic" a month, of which I got a rather late start to since I began this one today.
(Finished) A Feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin: This is book four in the Game of Thrones series and I am sad to say it wasn't nearly as entertaining or captivating as the previous books.
Between Here and April by Deborah Copaken Kogan: I plowed through this book but felt the ending was tied up just a little to nicely.
Current Shame-Inducing Guilty Pleasure: Buzzfeed - That site will suck me in for hours with all it's pointless content.
Current Obsession: Nada
Current Song: "Don't Stop the Party" Pitbull ft TJR - It's not actually a good song, I just love the beat.
Current Wish-List: Nada
Current Need: A new car and for the snow to keep at bay.
Current Triumph: Not to be dramatic, but escaping my car accident with only my car sustaining damages has me feeling pretty triumphant.
Current Bane of my Existence: It's a toss up between dealing with my car insurance company and the random ass weather we've been having. Record lows last week, record highs this week! Temps in the 50's yesterday, blizzard conditions and in the 20's today. WTF?
Current Goal: To continue making it through this marathon training cycle in one piece.
Current Indulgence: Not a whole lot of indulging now that I'm in training mode.
Current Blessings: Life, love, and friendship.
Current Excitement: I'm getting braces! Of course I know it won't be all fun and games but what's a few months of misery when I can be confident of my smile for the rest of my life?
How'd your January shape up?!?!

I LOVE that Pitbull song. Nick is like "this is terrible." It's just so catchy. Lol!
Your relay pics are awesome! I love the team name. So creative!
Miss your soon-to-be brace face. ;)
Sounds like a great month!
And I just added Wild: From Lost to Found to my book list. Sounds great! Can't wait to hear your thoughts :)
Yes to Pitbull! I love that you're listening to a classic book a month! I always make it a point to read a few throughout the year...I haven't read The Scarlett Letter yet though, maybe I'll pick that one up for February!
Feast for Crows was by far my least favorite of the series. Five is quite a bit better in my opinion, but not as good as the first 3. I just finished Wild. Curious what your thoughts are, but I admit, I was rather disappointed. Maybe I was expecting something different? Love the Disney costume :)
Love that pic from Disney - so glad you got to run that one!
I need to read more - lately I've been sucked in by Hulu on my computer though. It's easier to sack out on the couch with a dumb movie.
Love how much reading and listening you fit in. I'm such a slacker. Also love love love that Disney photo!
Oh and you are soooo speedy. Not that I'm jealous because fast hurts more than long. ;-)
I sometimes yell out the spanish things that Pitbull says, but I mumble it because I suck at spanish and hubby just shakes his head ;) Good job girlie! I SO need to paint again too - so hard to do unless I'm really inspired! Maybe we can hold each other accountable for that ;)
Awesome you got 2 races in during January, I have yet to actually do one!
Braces?! Really you have a great smile already. :) I had braces for two years in high school only to stop wearing my retainer and botching my smile. Awesome.
Same here - on the 100 mile club membership!
Braces are the perfect excuse to drink milkshakes.
That sounds like a fantastic start to the year on all fronts! I need to add Disney to my list! Because I'm kinda Goofy...
Oh, you have your eyes on that Hundo-club, eh? ;) We can work on that.
I completely missed that you were in a car accident. I'm glad only the car was hurt! Here's hoping the insurance people play nice.
I also didn't know about this accident. I feel so out of touch. Glad you are ok! Maybe Spike will get you a new Lexus with a bow on top like the commercials for V-day... Surely that's what he's planning.
