Current Reads: (Reading) Between Here and April by Deborah Copaken Kogan: "When a deep-rooted memory suddenly surfaces, Elizabeth Burns becomes obsessed with the long-ago disappearance of her childhood friend April Cassidy. Driven to investigate, Elizabeth discovers a thirty-five-year-old newspaper article revealing the details that had been hidden from her as a child: April's mother, Adele, drove with her two young daughters deep into the woods where she killed first them and then herself." - I'm about half way through this and will probably wrap it up by tomorrow because I just can't stop reading. W.T.F?!?!

(Finished) A Storm of Swords: Book 3 of the Game of Thrones series and my favorite so far!
Let's Pretend This Never Happened (A Mostly True Memoir) by Jenny Lawson (of The Bloggess fame) I get a certain guilty pleasure from reading books about people with messed up childhoods because my own was so d@mn crazy.
Current Shame-Inducing Guilty Pleasure: All the junk food I've been consuming, but that ends tomorrow!
Current Obsession: Ridding our apartment of stuff we don't need/use. Yesterday I went on a huge cleaning/purging spree that ended with Spike saying, "I don't know if you're pregnant (I'm not) and/or just don't realize it's not Spring yet?!"
Current Song: "It's Time" by Imagine Dragons
Also, just for shiggles, you should watch this video if you haven't already: Thriftshop by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, effing ridic!
Current Wish-List: My wish-list has been cleared thanks to Christmas.
Current Need: I don't really need anything either, life is pretty awesomely complete.
Current Triumph: Surviving the holidays.
Current Bane of my Existence: STATIC! GAH! GO AWAY!
Current Goal: Make it through this marathon training cycle in one piece.
Current Indulgence: Chai latte's w/ skim from my favorite coffee shop with my favorite husband.
Current Blessings: My family, my friends, and especially my husband, otherwise known as my rock.
Current Excitement: Lots of things to be excited about in January: First up, spectating Spike doing the Goofy Challenge at Disney, throwing my Rixy's "Totally 80's" themed wedding shower, starting up actual marathon training, working NAIAS, and running the Frostbite Marathon Relay again.
How'd your December shape up?!?!

I just checked daily mile and December has been my lowest month mileage this entire year, but that's not necessarily surprising. I got sick with a sinus infection/cold for an entire week and have been enjoying more hot yoga. 88 miles for my month. But overall, I'm happy with my fitness. Ready to ramp up the running in Jan though. Happy New Year!
Sounds similar to me, planning on getting on track tomorrow if this sickness will get out of me!!
Was hoping to rid my house of junk not in use too. I think it goes along with the new year...out with the old, in with the new right??
Good luck in 2013!
go run, you lazy poop.
Yeah for a great month!!! That first book you talked about sounds really good - I might need to find that one. Maybe reading will give me something to do on the trainer.
Happy New Year, chica!!
Gaahhh! Gotta start the spring cleaning soon...Chinese New Year is a little over a month away!
Anyway, December is my month of "road to recovery" from my hip flexor injury and I was pain-free. Yay!
Happy New Year Morgan & Spike!
Spike is going Goofy!! That's going to be sooo fun. And a little reunion for you I'm sure since it's FL and you're peeps will come out to play with you.
Happy New Year! 2013 - tons of miles for both of us!
Hey lady, I'm just now finally starting to get caught up on blogs. I *completely* sympathize with feeling burned out. I'm not burned out on running, but the rest of life has been absolute chaos for far too long. Here's hoping things seem calmer again soon for us both!
This sounds like a pretty epic month.
Also, that book sounds amazing! I'm going to get it and start reading it this evening!
Happy New Year :)
