Hola runnerds! I hope y'all had a fantastic weekend! We had a blast at the Buffett concert hanging with some of our favorite cousins, and I'm especially happy to report that I have successfully completed the first week of CCRR half training!

All in all I'm very happy with how the week turned out and I only ended up one mile short of the week's scheduled miles. This week will be a bit discombobulated because we are going out of town for a family wedding, with all day Friday and Sunday spent driving and Saturday spent doing wedding festivities. I may have to move things around and could end up having to skip an entire workout; while I could do all my workouts between today and Thursday, I'm not comfortable running four consecutive days and my old FL coach always advised against running hard workouts back to back like that. Once upon a time I would've been stressed over the possibility of skipping a workout but experience has taught me that missing a workout is not going to make or break my training cycle. Life happens and I'm (now) ok with that.
Do you stress out about missing a workout during a training cycle?
To end, I'll leave you with this gem I spotted at the Buffett concert. Happy Monday!

great job on your week of running. THat is a great way to start off your training!
and that is one hilarious picture! hahahhahah
Shouldn't that be a sports bro? ;)
You're getting there; just hang in there.
Way to go on Week One! Good luck fitting in your training this week, but I definitely agree that it is not worth the risk cramming it all into 4 days. Just make the most of what you're able to do, and have fun on the weekend!
Congrats on a solid week one. Must feel good to be back on a plan. Long time coming, and well earned.
Maybe he's worried about bloody nipples. I've heard that's a real issue for guys :)
Great job kicking off your plan! LOL- on photo!
Nice training week!
I'm glad the photo is from behind. The other side might be scary. ;-)
I got hot at the Tiger's game, so I took my shirt off!
Woot! Nice work. I generally plan what days I'm going to run and possibly what effort or type of run, but fairly loosely. It sort of flows as the week goes. This week is a bit of a recovery run week after last week's high mileage and hard runs. Plus, I'm feeling a little under the weather.
Way to get consistent!
That's a manssiere!
Oh, and kudos on that running stuff. Cheers!
hahahaha! he needed support for his moobs!
nice job with the running. and keep up the cross training and rest!
Awww man. I saw a lot of entertaining things Saturday, but Sports Bra Man was not one.
I'm not old. :) Just "seasoned".
Ahhhhh.... Detroit. That is Pure Michigan.
Great first week! Keep it up!
