3 Things Thursday

  1. Meetup... At long last @RunningLaur and I were finally able to meet up while she was in the mitten for work this week. I basically talked her face off over pizza and now I seriously wish she lived closer so we could tailgate our way through football season together.

  2. Road-trip... Tomorrow my Grandpa and I will be setting out on a road-trip together to my Aunt's in Illinois where my parents are meeting us there from Minnesota! (My Fa-tha has a contract there for a few weeks.) I am SOOO EXCITED to see my fam, it's been since November!

  3. Three Months... Tomorrow also makes it officially three months until our wedding and I am simply amazed at how fast time has flown by this year. We've been making steady progress on all the planning/projects and I am just so lucky and thankful that not only does Spike want to be apart of it all, but he {mostly} enjoys it too. Next week we'll send out the invitations, I'll have my first dress fitting, my hair trial, and my first (of two) bridal showers; holy smokes that's a lot of wedding ish in one week! Any tips from you married/engaged gals on what to bring to the fitting and hair trial or how to survive the shower being the center of attention? Eek!!!

3 months, yayyy!!! I'm with ya on the whole surviving-the-center-of-attention thing, it was tough for me. But the shower is such an exciting time, filled to the brim with love and friends/family, so it's great. I'm so excited for you and Spike! PS. have fun on your road trip to IL!

My maid of honor threw me a surprise shower. I had no idea. It was a couples shower though with men and women in attendance. I was thankful to have Joey with me because I am not too fond of all that attention on me either. I have no advice but I think you'll be fine. :)

Sounds like a fun road trip to see the fam!

Mike pretended to want to participate in wedding planning and went everywhere with me. I think that's almost as good as actually enjoying it :).

Have so much fun with all the wedding festivities coming up. 3 months! Holy, feels like you just got engaged!

Bring the shoes, under-things and any accessories you intend to wear with you to the fitting, inspiration photos + accessories to the trial!

Happy Road-tripping!

Red,

I just noticed that your wedding date and my wife's due date are very close together. Hmmm. . . maybe . . . :)

SO HAPPY about ALL OF THIS!!
You are officially my favorite thing in ALL of Michigan :D

There's not an MSU-PSU game on the schedule for the next 3 years, so we'll just have to root for both teams to make the B1G championship game every year!

Okay, show how I am way behind the times - I had no idea that they actually built a to scale replica of the Ninja Warrior course in Vegas! I've watched every season of American Ninja Warrior, and assumed it was the same format as before where they have the trials in Venice Beach and then bootcamp, and 10 guys make it to Japan.

I do like seeing more guys get a shot at the real course with the current setup! While I haven't seen any of the regional qualifying stuff, my hope is that David Campbell can achieve total victory! lol

3 months!!! Obviously bring whatever you plan to wear under the dress & you're veil. I'd also being a girlfriend & some wine to the hair trial :)

Road trippin with Gramps! Love it. Please stop to get some capt and coke and drink it with a straw that keeps exploding up your noses. Or maybe don't. Yeah, skip that with your Gramps. Lol!

Safe travels! xoxo

I sense a story in B.o.B.'s comment.

Dress fitting: Don't be afraid to speak up about how you want your dress to fit. At my 2nd fitting, the lady tried to convince me that my strapless dress wouldn't fall down and I had to practically throw a fit so I could get it altered the way I wanted.

Hair trial: bring any headgear that you will wear so the stylist can get an idea of how everything will tie together.

Have fun! This is the best and most stressful part of the whole wedding process:)
