Blinded By the White

Those bright white legs below are brought to you by not having run in shorts since October or November of 2010 thanks to being injured most of 2011! Before you shield your eyes from the radioactive day glo they cast, please note the shit-eating grin on my face! That my friends is a very, VERY happy girl who just got to run, in shorts, in January, in Michigan, moments ago.

A mile full of smiles on this gorgeous day!

*Thanks for being my paparazzi Sun Runner!

YAY! 1 full mile!!! And your legs don't look white at all! But maybe that's just the shadows? Let me know when you're up to racing a full 5k...that should be soon right? And maybe I'll come join you!

Just seeing that smile is a huge reminder to get a little more enjoyment out of my running .. and remember the times when I couldn't run even if I wanted to. Congrats on being back in the game.

I am loving wearing shorts in January! Tomorrow it is supposed to be 52 in NYC! Aren't you a little warm in the jacket though?? Pretty track! When I was there I went to my high school's track (Pioneer HS).

It truly was a beautiful day to be out running in much less layers than normally expected for January in the MItten!

Congrats on the run!

Woot! Great blog! I'm afraid my legs stay that white year round - no matter how many miles I get in! Got to run in shorts and a tee last Thursday, pretty sure I could have powered a moderate sized suburb with the solar power beaming off my calves!
I'm in Colorado but my husband is from Warren. Coming out this October to run the Detroit Marathon this year!!!

What a fun pic! It IS hard starting over. I'm still running now, but I'll know I can count on you for understanding when I start back post-baby. It gets easier! I promise!

So happy to see you out on the track again!! We have had some pretty nice temperatures around here lately too- I would have been wearing capris if I was running!
