- This is still a running blog... First and foremost, thank you, thank you, thank you for all your well wishes and congrats on the big announcement!!! Spike and I could not be any happier if we tried! No date set yet or any of that other stuff, we're still enjoying the moment and being schmoopy. Anyway, I just want to assure you that this doesn't change the format around here, this is still a running blog. Ok, ok, it hasn't been a running blog in forever, but it's still a fitness enthusiast's, injured runner's blog and I promise not to clog it up with wedding planning. Especially with actual running on the horizon... December I'm coming for you!
But before I make good on that promise, I just have to share a few of my favorite pics from the actual proposal, yes Spike planned this down to the last detail, including a secret photographer (his cousin) to catch it all on camera. Swoon!
- MCM... As I mentioned last week, we'll be setting up our spectating shop near Crystal City, mile 22-23ish, near the turnaround. Look for us, I'll be wearing silver sequined pants. We're also going to be hitting up the expo tomorrow around 2 pm. I'm so excited to have this epic girls weekend in D.C. and catch up with quite a few of my favorite blog friends, meet a few more, and especially slumber party with these two ladies all weekend long. Did someone say vodka?!?
- The Walking Dead... Please tell me Spike and I are not the only ones obsessed with this show?!?! OMG I am always on the edge of my seat and/or burying my face in to Spike's arm. Best. Zombie. Show. Ever. (And y'all know I love a zombie.)

My husband is obsessed with the Walking Dead, but it kind of terrifies me, so I plug my ears and read a book. I'm very mature.

I think a good running blog has some of the runner's life peppered in as well. Yeah, you don't want to make it ALL about wedding stuff, but throwing some in there just makes it more multi-dimensional.

Troy watched the entire Walking Dead series in about a day and a half this weekend, so of course he'll dress as the sheriff for halloween. (unfortunately, I picked my outfit the day before, and will not be a matching zombie.)
The Walking Dead is full of awesomesauce! While they were filing the first season (in downtown Atlanta) it was cool to run by the sets! A bit surreal to see zombie while you're out for a run though

Also . . . The Walking Dead . . . Pure . . . Awesomeness! I was a little disappointed by the CDC ending last season, but everything else has been stellar. I am a HUGE zombie fan from way back. One of my favorite low budget 80's films of all time is Night of the Comet. If you love 80's Cheese and Zombies, it is perfection.
I LOVE the walking dead!!! Best show on TV right now. Anytime you feel like you gotta nerd out, you know how to get ahold of me.

Soooooooo obsessed with the walking dead. I watched last season, and then made kyle re-watch them with me about a month ago, so now he's on board with it too. Did you both yell and freak out in last week's episode when the random zombie was just THERE behind the blond chick?!?! because we maybe did.......

My husband bought me the walking dead comic books when they came out because I was (am) a huge zombie fan. SO GOOD. But, I could NOT read them before bed or I would have terrible, graphic nightmares.
I am loving the show. It's keeping some of the plot lines from the comics, but changing some, too, and I love seeing the characters brought to life.
And it's super freaky. Thankfully, no bad dreams from the show yet.
