- Leela IS Trainable: A few weeks ago I picked up a trainer for Leela only to find that her 1980's style was not vibing with the trainer's of today. The problem being that she had a solid axle over a quick release. I called around to some shops, and posted about it on FB, but everyone was coming up with the same answer; replace the entire back wheel with a new and improved quick release style. I made one last call for help to a friend who does Fixie's and he was able to get her modified and ready to rock! Thank you @beanteck for saving the day!
- B.o.B Does D-town: I get to see my B.o.B tomorrow! That's right, she's headed to the D for the Half this weekend and Spike, Sun Runner, and I are all meeting up with her for dinner tomorrow night. Sooo excited I get to see my Boo!
- Case of the Schmoops: The last few and next few days hold a lot of anniversaries for me, specifically the two year anniversary of both running my first marathon and meeting/falling for the man I happen to be hopelessly in love with. I've been a big ball of sappy since the weekend reliving those moments in my mind; meeting him at the expo for the first time IRL after being blog buddies for so long, the entire Chicago Marathon experience (which still gives me butterflies in my stomach when I think of it), and the whole magical weekend that followed... Needless to say I've had a big goofy grin on my face most of the week.
Anyone else out there a big Sappy McSapperson like me when it comes to these kinds of things?!?!

D-Town? Duluth? Denver? Des Moines?
I'm a giant sap about that stuff too...but I'm pretty sure I'm just a sap in general.
Awesome job getting the bike to train!
Leela is so pretty. :)
I can't believe it's been 2 years!! Wow. I can't believe I've been reading your blog since before then. Enjoy celebrating all your anniversaries!
I kinda' wish my bike wouldn't work with the trainer, then I would have a good excuse for why I never put it on!!!!
What I will want to know about this winter is which is more boring, being on a trainer or being on a dreadmill?
Aww schmoopy schmoopy. I foresee extra bone stimulation in your near future. ;)
I try to get Josh to celebrate our date-anniversary... Every month. He says we dont do that anymore.
D town = Detrooooit. Right? ;)
We're approaching a 2-year mark, too, and I'm like WHAT?! how did that happen?? Crazy, these years and how they fly.
16 years married and I'm still feeling all sappy about my guy. It's a great thing.
I can't wait for some Detroit hijinks tomorrow night! And some soft-core runner porn in the form of the race expo. It won't be hard-core like Chicago, Boston, or NYC, but we have to get our rocks off somehow, right?
The Engineer are approaching two years as a couple as well. I met him October 25, 2009 (two weeks after you met Spike) but we didn't become a Couple until early December when it became obvious we really had a Thing for each other. :)
Glad I could help out. Let me know if you have any issues.
Aww...I love the love for our love, but I love our love the most. Also, why didn't I get any credit for almost breaking the trainer and your bike before Jeff was a hero and fixed it?
Aww, schmoopy schmoop stuff.
You know I'm suddenly all about the schmoop this last year, and it's the best thing of all time.
I'll be doing my 12 hour race this weekend, and I can't help but remember that last year it while I was on the trail my schmoop called 3 times in the middle of the night. Still makes me kind of tear up to think of.
Have just the best weekend!!
Sweet that your ride is all set for winter mileage. My kids would never get off a bike if I did that...yeah, that's why I don't ride, the kids. ;-)
I love that you are still sappy. I think that helps keep the appreciation for each other there. It's easy to get too comfortable. Enjoy remembering the beginning all over again.
and now i have to go throw up.
D-Town??? We all know that G-Rap is where the happening marathon is taking place this weekend.
So what did you work out with the bike???
Happy Anniversary you sap!
I will keep an eye out for you and B.o.b. in d town. I am there for the marathon!!!
Happy Anniversary! Hope you have fun with B.o.B!
Awww Happy Schmoopiversary! :)
Have fun with Beth and YAY for getting Leela all set up on the trainer!
Yeah for feeling all schmoopy!
Good luck to your B.o.B. in the D this weekend!
i'm more like random sappy than annual...it's weird little htings like oh my gosh he left me such a cute note...mush
Karen wrote a guest SPoT on the blog for tomorrow. I have read it three times and all three times I've been on the verge of tears.....does that answer your question?
I'm assuming that D-Town is Detroit?? The Lions are fierce right now! Bummer about the Tigers losing last night, I was watching the game from the treadmill yesterday, and I gasped as Nelson Cruz hit his 3 run homer, haha
Have fun with all your running comrades! Good to hear the bike trainer is good to go!
I love your schmoopiness. I have become more sappy since I became a mom.
Have fun with B.o.B and yay for Leela =)
I told BoB the same thing I'll tell you--I hope y'all are having a blast of a weekend and that the race goes well! And hey, happy birthday lady. Welcome to the 30s.
Aw, happy anniversary!
