I noticed some dry rot had set in on the back tire and decided it was best to just replace the set and get some new tubes while I was at it. She's riding better than ever and rocking the wheelz like they're her new LBD.

Cyclist Peeps: How does one keep dry rot from occurring? Regular washing? Storing inside? I keep Leela in the dining room of our apartment but I def haven't washed herlatelyever.
- SYTYCD... Alright, last SYTYCD post of the year and all I gotta say is I was completely UNDERWHELMED last night! What the heck happened?!? Did the choreographers use all the good routines on all the previous episodes? Last night was so disappointing and I can't say I particularly liked any of the routines. Please tell me I'm not the only one who felt this way?!?!
But FWIW, I still voted for Melanie.

I was also disappointed by SYTYCD last night, and I'm going to blame the choreographers. Despite that, Melanie & Sasha still rocked my face off. They are so amazing!

I too was underwhelmed. I thought that stomping routine was pretty bad and Walter HATES Sasha's hair. He said it like 99 times during the show. LOL!

we don't get enough rain here to worry about dry rot. (seriously, not even a full inch of rain in the first 6 months of this year)
re: sytycd. YES! omg it was really disappointing. The one routine sasha did with the all star was pretty good. But that last one, with tadd and marko? Could Marko have looked any more corny?! terrible. But, for the record, Melanie ftw. love that girl.
Uhm...I'm a nerd, but yes, I do wash Trixie. And take her to the bike shop every few months to have her checked...

Bikes have to be washed? I haven't done any maintenance/cleaning in the 3+ years of owning mine...

I just did a basic bike care mntx clinic and it's amazing how often we really should be cleaning our bikes. Chain-like one a week! Ooooop. Now Tiger will be properly cared for...she cost enough!! lol
I thought the whole season of SYTYCD was underwhelming. New choreographers needed!

I clean my bike on almost a weekly basis (more than my car). Sometimes it is just soap and water to rinse off the grim, but about every other time I'll attack it with Simply Green cleaner to degrease it and then follow that up by lubing the chain and other moving parts. I've never really had to worry about dry rot because the tires wear out too quickly :)
whoa...I've never washed my bike or tires and have never even heard of this! Either way, she's looking stunning in her LBD ;)
