3 Things Thursday

  1. Home, Sweet Home... Spike and I are officially back in the mitten after a whirlwind weekend+ in Beantown. I'm still working up my recap(s? Should I do more than one? I just don't know!?!) so stay tuned. In the mean time I hope you guys are lapping up the Boston recaps as much as I am!!! Congrats again to all that ran on Monday!!!

  2. Crutchless (not to be confused with crotchless) at last... I am (mostly) off the crutches and I could not be happier!!! I weaned my way off them over the course of our trip, although I think I will still use them as aids for any significant amount of walking, but otherwise I am getting around pretty well. I have never appreciated the act of stepping one foot in front of the other, albeit very slow and carefully, so much in my life!

  3. Revisting Xtrain Xtravaganza... Now that I'm mostly mobile it's time to start adding in the elliptical to my xtraining workouts! Strength training, aqua slogging, cycling, AND elliptical! I can hardly contain myself!!! (Can you sense the sarcasm? I hope so.)

Yay on walking around crutchless!!! Don't overdo it on longer walks, huh? (Look who's talking...) :) You'll be up and running before you can say 'crotchless'! ;)

Very glad to read that you are largely crutch-free. Very much hope you continue to mend quickly. You deserve to be back out there running.

congrats on freeing yourself of the crutches! I know the remainder of the rehab will go much smoother...

Soon you'll be able to stick them behind a closet door and only have to think about them when you accidentally knock them over!

I know you are psyched to ditch those crutches!!! Do two recaps, why not??

X-training - it's a love hate thing. I hated it so much that I... ended up signing up for a TRI? yea, it makes no sense to me either.

So glad you're crutch free though, seriously, I SO get that. They chafe the nerves AND the pits. Or is that, they are the pits....? I think it works either way...

The picture of you and Spike on the finish line is my favorite picture in the history of the world. I want to frame it and put it beside my bed. weird? i dont think so.

I agree with Emily. That picture is in my top 5 favorites out of all the pictures I have seen from Boston!

Boys probably shouldn't make comments when girls make "crotchless" jokes. Pretty much a no-win situation. But congrats on the crutchless thing. Have fun in the pool. :/

Congrats on getting rid of the crutches! Good luck with the x-training. Thumbs up to the the elliptical because at least you have more variety. (that's a good thing, right?)
