Rest Days Planned/Taken: 4 / 5
Highest Mileage Week: 38± M
Long Runs Planned/Ran: 4 / 4
Hill Workouts Planned/Ran: 5 / 4
Pace Workouts Planned/Ran: 4 / 4
Xtraining Workouts Planned/Ran: 4 / 6
Favorite run: 12 Miler w/ Lazy Runner & Tim - Was so great running with LR again!!!
Least Favorite run: Last week's Hills where I tweaked my leg. Grrr!!!
Most hardcore run: Hellacious Wind 16 Miler - My longest solo run to date (at the time) and first go at running the back roads of nowhere all while fighting 25-35 mph winds!
Race(s): N/A - Just spectating.
Current Reads: (Reading) The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (Millennium Trilogy Series #3) by Steig Larsson. I have been savoring this book all month, reading only a chapter or two a day because I do not want it to end!!!
Current Shame-Inducing Guilty Pleasure: Honestly, it's so shameful I can't even admit it!!!
Current Obsessions: So Spike's friends gave us the first season of Dexter yesterday and let's just say we watched 7 episodes back to back... and I've been waiting all day to start up the next one!
Current Drink: I have been loving me some O.N.E. Coconut Water w/ a splash of Pineapple!
Current Song: I can't even recall the last time I turned on the radio! So sad!
Current Need: I retain last month's need for the Spring to arrive! This Florida transplant STILL needs more Vitamin D in her life!
Current Triumph: Making it through this past weekend's long run in one piece. It's been over a year since I've touched mileage this high and I am praying to the running gods and begging my legs to continue to hold up.
Current Bane of my Existence: Effing Winter.
Current Goal: To make it through the next few high mileage weeks in one piece!
Current Indulgence: Last week I polished off the last of the Reese's Peanut Butter Hearts left over from Valentines Day in Spike's candy bowl. Ugh. I will not be revisiting that thing this week!!!
Running is what you make of it, make it an Adventure!™

bwahaha. effing winter. i'm with you. great month, lady! hope your legs held up tonight!
OK, how can you leave us hanging with the guilty pleasure
I didn't know you were running the Martian Half Marathon! My husband's family lives in Dearborn!
I am so ready for spring too. And we don't even have any snow on the ground. You must be dying!!
I think im gonna run martian too! :)
You are much stronger than I. I blazed through "The Girl..." in about a day.
Hang in there Red! You're doing great...especially for being a Florida transplant :) Sounds like you kicked February's behind!
now i really want to know what your guilty pleasure is!
are you drooling over those shorts because of the color combination or just because they are shorts and that would mean spring weather?
You know I actually find comfort knowing you run in winds like me.. just sayin :)I hadn't thought of reviewing my month, I'm still holding my breath as each week goes by. You're doing awesome!!!!
Oh come on, you have to fess up! Is it cheez-its with chocolate icing? lol
Awesome month!!! May 15th, bring it on!
I look forward to your monthly recaps. Makes me feel I need to get off my ass more and get moving.
I like the looks of Nike tempo shorts...on other people. I wish I could wear them cuz they have so many cool colors. But because of the thunder thighs I carry around, I fear major chafing.
"Effing winter" bahahaha!! It'll be spring soon enough--I hope!
well now you have to tell us what the guilty pleasure is!
Only 20 days until Spring "officially" gets here! YES, I strongly believe in that countdown.
Great month! You'll nail that LR this weekend with no problems, bettah believe it!
Also, seriously, you won't admit the guilty pleasure and we still don't know what that random pic was last week (did I miss something?)?? Psh. ;)
Effin Winter? Woman we've had snow in April, so hold onto your boots!
Those books are SO GOOD. I bought the first one on my honeymoon, and ended up paying like $50 to get the second two. I felt so guilty, but I could NOT WAIT to read them.
BAHHHH Winter! I am over it too! One of my good friends is in the same boat as you, she moved from St Pete FL to Minneapolis! She's running Boston, so I'm sure you will meet her at some point over the weekend! :)
PS Treat yourself to those new shorts, you need something to look forward to/put spring in your step with this awful weather!
Found your blog from your guest post over at Brooke's place. I was shocked to see your GR 1/2 Marathon bling hanging around your neck - that race was my 1st 1/2 mary (I live near GR) and read that you are also going to be running the 5/3 RBR!
Sounds like you are racking up some serious mileage, which given our weather lately is a huge accomplishment.
And, I totally agree with the effin winter comment. I am so over snow at this point.
Great month!
Enjoy the rest of the Hornet's Nest! That one was really hard for me to get going on. All the crap about the Swedish politics/history bored me.
I love Dexter! I'm finishing up the current season, but am saving the last couple episodes because I don't want to run out :)
awesome month! I am curious what your shameful guilty pleasure is, haha
GREAT JOB! I need to hear what this shameful secret is...
I have been making homemade peanut butter (and homemade cashew butter) and eating that by the spoonful!
awesome month chica. where's spring? it should be coming soon, no?
And I hope your guilty pleasure is looking at wedding blogs, b/c that's mine as well. And we should swap our faves.
That is all. :)
you have to tell us now! :) congrats on a great month girl! keep it up :)
I should tell the story of the other candy that was banned from our home...
You can admit it, you're obsessed with charle scheen like the rest of us. Dragon blood!!
Cleveland! Cleveland! Cleveland! I'm so proud of you, girl. You kicked BUTT in Feb. Make March COUNT :) I wish I could be there to cheer you on extra loud when you're running Cleveland! But I'll definitely be there with you in spirit!
Excuse me? Favorite run? I see how it is...
oh man! I'm glad you joined the Dexter mania!!!! That's how we watched them - all in row...so addicting!
