3 Things Thursday

  1. First and foremost, thank you all so much for all the comments and emails of encouragement and support! Writing that post left me beyond emotional, but I'm better for it and knowing you're all there for me helps with the process.

  2. Coach EK and I touched base yesterday and have set in place a new plan of action for the time being; 3 day training weeks so that I have a recovery day between each run until I see some progress with my excessive leg pain. *Fingers Crossed*

  3. And to end this on a happy note, the weekend is nearly upon us! Woot! Spike's cousin is getting married tomorrow and I think this Redhead is going to shake some booty during the reception! Have a fantabulous weekend, catch ya'll on the flipside!!!

Good idea to change the plan. Most of us would have tried to stick to it and hurt ourselves more.

Glad to help. I'm in the dumps right now myself. Having a kind word waft through the ether now and then is a blessing.

I missed yesterdays post, so I went back to read it. Sorry that you have been in an emotional slump, I think you are brave to put it all out there though. And that's the best way to face your demons...head on!

After my first marathon I dropped down to running three days a week. Best thing I ever did for my body.

I STILL think you're AWESOME, even if just running 3 days a week. Way to be FLEXIBLE and staying POSITIVE!

Have a great weekend, Red!

that sounds like a good plan. i didn't have time to comment on your last post, but i was totally THERE (where you are) pretty much all of 2009, mentally and physically. i still have lower leg issues. a lot. recovery socks and THE STICK totally help my lower leg issues (constantly tight knotted up calves and shins). hang in there! rest is good :)

Hey you - hope the wedding was fun!! And more importantly, hope that things are looking Up over there for you and that crazy leg. 3 days of running per week marathon training might just be the golden ticket! ;) I've never agreed with the strict "we Must run 4-5 days / week" plans. Everybody is different; running is an art, not a science!
