- Lankle/Run Update: I have not run since Saturday thanks to contracting a lovely Upper Respitory Infection. I can't even walk 10 ft, laugh or cry without hacking up a lung. Running is out of the question and when I entertained the idea of going anyway the other morning The Brunette threatened to beat me.
- Move/J-O-B Update: T-Minus 1 Day, 22 Hours and 0 minutes until Departure. YIKES! How did D-Day creep up on me so fast?!?!?
Is everything packed? Have I tied up all the loose ends? Did I remember to forward the mail? How fast can you safely drive a car towing a trailer on I-75? Am I prepared to live in sin? What do I do if I don't find a job? Do I need a pimp or can I pick my own corner?
And while I'm freaking out, Spike is worried about other things... LOL! - Goodbye's... I've had my fair share of them over the last week that my heart aches at the thought of my goodbye party tomorrow night. I tried to lighten the mood by making it a Toga party, a final themed party for the Theme Party Queen, but even so I will be rocking some serious waterproof mascara because tomorrow will be the hardest of all because I say goodbye to the people that have made Orlando Home to me; my best friends. I could fill pages and pages about why they have come to mean so much to me; As the years have passed they've seen me at my best, worst and all those gray fuzzy areas in between. They welcomed me into their hearts, homes and lives and have been more of a family to me than my own family has been and that is something that most people would never understand. Through it all they've loved me unconditionally, even when I was the worst version of myself they'd ever seen. There aren't enough words to express how much I love and cherish the memories I have made with them or how thankful I am to have had their friendships touch my life. I wish goodbye's weren't so hard but at the same time;
"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."
Lucky indeed.
Thank you my friends, for being you and loving me.

Morgan, I hope your road trip is uneventful and you reach your destination safe and sound. Good luck in the windy city! And maybe you can frame a swatch of the shower curtain just for Spike...to ease him into the ideas of letting go of an old friend...
Be safe traveling girl!!! And btw, that shower curtain HAD to go!
have fun at your going away party...it's not a good bye party. you'll see them again (soon) and talk all the time!
Well, lady, that last paragraph almost had Me in tears - but you're right, you are VERY lucky to have had such great relationships. And Denise is also right, it's not a goodbye forever :) Luckily this internet thing makes people seem Very close, no matter what the distance!
DRIVE SAFELY!! I have no idea how fast you should go, but I'm gonna low-ball it and say 65? take up that right lane proudly ;) xo
feel better and keep us posted!
No pimp needed. Just find a corner nobody else has claimed yet...LOL!
In a few days we will be out of state running frenemies :/
I look forward to dailymile duels :)
Sooo sad to leave ur friends!!!! :-(
However this chickie right here is thrilled to have a RB in the area!!! :-)

Drive safe.... and my fingers are crossed for you!! It's sad to leave your friends, but change is exciting :) Feel better soon!
Drive safely and I hope you feel better!
A whole new journey! Morgan, I wish you the best!
Have a safe trip, Redhead!
I was perusing some of your goodbye pics on FB and thinking, 'What an awesome group. No wonder she is sad to leave.'
SAFE TRAVELS tomorrow. Check in when you can.
And LOL at Spike's love letter. Do you know what you're in for? :P
You are so wise to see the blessings in having people and places worthy of missing so much!! Good luck with it all.
Enjoy your last "good-bye" party, you sound like you're surrounded by some pretty awesome peeps, thankfully those good-bye's don't have to be forever!
DRIVE SAFE! I'll be sending good driving vibes your way ;) And feel better!
Everyone else has said it, but, DRIVE SAFE!!!!! Be careful with that trailer. Have a great party with lots of love and memorable goodbyes, and tons of luck as you move into your next dirty chapter (jk - living in sin made me laugh - hahaha!!) :)
I hope your move is smooth and you may as well get someplace with a guest bedroom now because I am sure many will want to visit.
Can't wait to be in a car with you for over 19 hours!! So much bonding and randomness. We need to find all the elephants!! I love you. TOGA TOGA TOGA TOGA!
FEEL BETTER! Hope the move goes well and you have a safe trip!! I read Spike's post - that was hilarious about the shower curtain! I would have demanded that he get rid of it too! It really is funny looking!
You're also lucky to have the heat finally making its way up north. Maybe you aren't doomed to an arctic summer. Have a safe trip. Cheers!
Yeah that upper respiratory stuff sucks, I just got over it myself in time for this weekend's race...feel better, take it easy and drive safely!
Good luck in your new (old) surroundings
I'd say 75 on I-75 is about right although good luck going 75 though our fair city of Atlanta :)
Drive safe!
I'm pretty sure you can pick your own corner these days--women are empowered, you totally don't need a pimp.
LOVE YOU!!
Good luck with the move. It isn't goodbye, it is "see you soon".
I say put the pedal to the metal. It is a rental trailer anyway, right?
The start of a new chapter! Good luck and safe travels.
Pass this message to Spike regarding his shower curtain. He is a guy. He will understand. The message is:
"Women.......(shakes head back and forth slowly)"
End of message.
Safe travels.
Coach EK
Ill wave as you drive through Atlanta! Have a safe trip
I think your pimp will pick the corner... You know you may be better off with a carboard sign, easy money baby!!
Best of luck with the move and your yucky cold!
Feel better and good luck with the move!
We walked past your (Orlando) corner yesterday...on way to Wildside (insert ?? here), and I mentioned, "This is the weekend Morgan leaves." "Bummer," said the hubs. We will miss you GREATLY, knowing you're more than a phone call away for a run around the lake. *sigh* But you're moving on to bigger lakes and well, new corners....
I've left your man a message, too -after reading about his shower curtain sadness, and reminded him to take good care of my favorite virtual daughter, b/c I too, have my eye on him!
HUGS to you both... be safe and let us know when you get there. Living in sin isn't so bad - for a little while!
Maybe we'll see you guys in Sept, when Rick and I are there for the Half.
Love ya' friend!!
robin (aka virtual mama) :)
Great, now you are making me cry! I love you lots and lots and lots and you will do great wherever you are!!!!! And you will find a job soon! And we are not too far away!!!! And Spike WILL move to FL in 3 years (and I will keep my dream) :) Actually as soon as RJ can fully say a sentence, so let's say a year and a half! Love you girl!!!!! See you tonight.
Best best best of luck in the trip. It's scary and exciting and totally worth it.
(and living in sin is way better than it's cracked up to be!)
hope you have a safe trip up north!! I'm walking a 5k run/walk with my mom on the 6th in Okemos if you're interested in doing a quick race to help support the local women's center in Lansing. My hubby and I are leaving pretty quick after the race to head up north though for the week. I'm sure everything is going to work out perfectly!!
saying goodbyes suck. i just said "see you later... sometime" to all the people i work with. even though most of them will probably retire soon / we're all from different places. but i know you are more excited to be with schmoopy than down in hades.
