*Fingers Crossed*

Most Gracious Running Gods,

Although I am but a peasant I present myself before you today to ask your favor. I begin by thanking you for your graciousness from sacrifices past and hope they are still fresh in your memory as I have none to lay at your feet this day. For today I can give no sacrifice of hills or enduring bad weather for I can not run. Today I come not to seek favorable race conditions nor PR dreams, but rather I come to ask for my health. Particularly the health of my Lankle. It seems over the last few weeks it's anger has reached epic proportions and despite reduction of mileage and giving it ample R.I.C.E'ing it continues to be problematic. Today I will toe the entrance of the Doctor's Office and fear the worst. I beg of you to please spare me the fatal diagnoses I fear to receive!!! Ask of me anything, anything and I shall make it so! (Even if it involves clowns and goats! Desperate times call for desperate measures!)

Most Humbly Yours,
Morgan aka Redhead Running

May the doctors be magicians who figure out what's wrong, pop the Lankle back into place and *poof* get you back running. Seriously, it happened to me once. One of my ankle bones was slightly out of place.

I'm not exactly sure what could possibly involve clowns AND goats, and I'm too scared to ask.

Hope the doc can help you through this.

hmm, what i'm getting out of this is that if the running gods tell you your lankle will be fine under the sole condition that you must forever run in a clown or goat costume you will accept/obey??

in all seriousness, good luck! keep us posted!!

Good luck! Injuries suck, but you will get better! I know I have prayed for sweet relief before... It's a right of passage you know your a real runner when you get an injury! Which I think is wrong shouldn't we be rewarded by Him for being active, healthy people? If the world was ran by runners we be in sweet bliss all day :)

Good luck, I wish you a non-threating diagnosis and a quick recovery...

PS: I've heard that clown sacrifice helps with running injuries...

Good luck lady!

I just found out from the doc yesterday that they are finally doing surgery on my ankle/foot....any injury that has plagued me since last June. May 12th is d-day....

I hope your trip is nothing more than a RICE situation...

You'd know pretty quick if something was torn or broken. Maybe a bad sprain, but you'll be OK. I spent 5 weeks on the shelf with a bad ankle, and I had to work to get back, but you don't lose it all. It just gets buried beneath a little dust.

Do what the doctor says to get better and you'll get better.

I just sacrificed a toenail to the running gods in your honor... hope it helps!

I will sacrifice an old race bib, and maybe and old race t-shirt if it so pleases the gods, all for the Lankle.

I am a new reader, and am not entirely sure yet what exactly a lankle is, but I feel as if it is one of my own. May the running Gods show mercy on your Lankle.
