Hola peeps! How goes it?!?! Did ya'll have a great weekend? I def did, got a lot of running in and got to catch up with quite a few old friends that I haven't seen in awhile but it just went by entirely too fast!
Friday: My first attempt at speedwork in almost a year. Coach EK said if I want to PR the B.A.A. 5k I gotta get in some intervals so after work I headed over to the track. 6 x 400 and it was Game On! Came in a few seconds under plan each interval and only wanted to die the very last one. SUCCESS!!! After I got cleaned up I met up with my girls; Ebs, Rixy, Beaker Luv and Jamie for yet another girls night on the porch. I am loving all this girl time lately but I stayed up way too late... as in 5am late just chatting on the porch, catching up... Whoops!
Saturday: One would think after staying up so late and having a few too many adult beverages that running would be the last thing on deck but the long lost Lazy Runner had wanted to get together for a run so up and at 'em and over to Windermere I went bright and early Saturday morning. Those not familiar with this part of Orlando, which means pretty much all of you, should know that this place is unbelievably gorgeous. I mean this is where the infamous home of Tiger Woods is after all, you know the one that he got the beat down from his wife at... Any way, we met near the town square on Main St. turned on the Garmin and just ran around; here, there, everywhere... No agenda whatsoever. Just running, enjoying the views and catching up. At one point we saw this enormous house under construction and decided to run through it. It was unbelievable! I snapped some pics with my phone but being the piece of crap that it is, it didn't save them for some reason. After we ooh'd and ahh'd the house we continued on towards Belle Isle (where the uber rich live) and rounded a corner to see the most breathtaking house ever... and of course LR finds a fence, a barbed wire fence, and we climb under to get a pic of said house... that my phone did not save. It did however save this pic of LR holding the fence open for me. Thankfully no Redheads were harmed during this trespassing.

After that we ran past the main entrance to Belle Isle and LR decides we should try to run in... the security guard thought otherwise and we were immediately kicked out. Oh well, it was worth a shot! LOL! Oh the adventures I have with LR. After he made some faces into the security camera's we decided to call it a run and head back. 4.5 M on a beautiful Saturday morning in Windermere: Run and done!
Sunday: Saturday night I had headed over to Harold's neck of the woods aka NSB so we could run an 8 miler beachside first thing Sunday morning. This was Harold's longest run to date and I was excited to be a part of it! We got up around 7am and headed out. Check this beautiful sunrise we caught at the start of our run:

Harold had mapped out a route that encompassed some beach running (that ended up a FAIL because it was high tide) some dirt roads, trails and the boardwalk loop over the dunes. It was so beautiful and really made me wish I lived closer! We snapped some shots on the boardwalk, I don't know why but I laugh at this pic of me running in my running skirt.
Once we looped back to the car we hit the beach to snap a pic together and then dipped our toes in the ocean. It was so refreshing after such a humid and sunny early morning run! Oh the life of a beach runner!
Congrats to Harold for running his furthest mileage yet AND hitting his first 20 mile week! Woot woot!
So what all did you guys get into this weekend?

Nice work on the 1) speed workout, 2) adventure run, and 3) beach run!
You look adorable in your skirt!!
That is a gorgeous run. Even though I just ran in Central Park, it is still winter here, and nice to see beach pics. Good Weekend!
The pictures are gorgeous, but where did you get that skirt? It is too cute!
You weekend sounds amazing! And I love that skirt!!!
Sounds like an amazing run-filled weekend to me! Looooove that running skirt!
sounds like a couple of amazing adventures. I'm so jealous ... sounds like some great scenery. Nothing like that here!!! You look too cute in the adorable running skirt, too!! Have a great week!
Hey, a few adult beverages certainly don't have to ruin a run ;) I'll second that!! haha
8 miles on a beach is definitely not the worst way to wrap up a running-filled weekend...;) sheesh. cute pics!
Yay for speedwork! That run on the beach sounded great! And I love the blue outfit. So cute
It's amazing how many adventures you can squeeze into 4.5 miles!!!
Also glad to hear you gave speedwork another chance.. seems like you have the drive, coaching, and potential to be PFF*... I'm curious to see where you end up (plus I like reading other people's blog entries about suffering through speedwork... it's nice to know that you're not alone)
*pretty f#ckin' fast
Great run! And cute skirt!!
Wheres the drinking from the shower pic? LOL....fun run!
what a cute skirt! your whole outfit looks very martha stewart. :)
Congratulations on the super productive weekend! I agree--very cute outfit. It inspires me to go shopping for some new running attire.
I think you're on to something with the trespassing run...kind of like interval training. I like it!
Beautiful pictures!
I love you running outfit. So cute.
I am jealous of the miles. I really missed sweating this weekend but I think I might have cried out enough tears to compensate. At they they were happy/sad tears!
You were a busy redheaded bee this weekend! Staying up 'til 5am! Wow! You are my idol!
Love the running skirt, too!
Cute skirt!!!
1) Holy cute skirt
2) You are SO going to PR at the B.A.A. 5k and I can't wait to be on hand to cheer for you!
3) Love your weekend. Great runs, great friends, staying up until 5am. Way to rock it.
Grrr I think blogger is having issues and none of your pictures will show up :( I bet running through Windermere would be awesome! Daydreaming about how the other half lives lol.
Sounds like an awesome weekend!! I know if I had to live in Florida, I'd also like to live near the beach (as would all! Ha!). I love that skirt, you are just too adorable!!!
Sounds like a great weekend! I can't see the pics either (except the breaking the law one), but I'll come back to peek them later.
Porch or Stoop?
FYI - Some of your pictures aren't showing up either - definitely a Blogger issue.
sounds like a great weekend. Those times with friends are wonderful, aren't they? And damn u did alotta running!!
I would love to run on Boardwalks. I did my very first 20 mile race on Sunday, my longest run by 7 miles. Blah!
*Some of your pictures aren't behaving for me.
you'll totally PR at the BAA 5k, the last oh i don't know, 3/10-4/10 is downhill. i will probably be there to watch the race since i live right around the corner. I'll look for you, although I'm not too sure what you look like :-P
Yay to Harold on the new distance and weekly distance PRs. Those are always fun to hit (well, until you reach a certain point, and then they become painful to reach).
What did I do this weekend? It was Groundhog Day. Ummm, Tennessee this time, I think?
Goodness, so much running! Track work, scenic runs, pacer run...you did it all! Sounds like a splendid weekend! Awesome. Congratulations! I wish I had a Redhead to run some miles with me this weekend. I logged 27 miles but no Redhead. Haha!
What an amazing weekend you had...such fine running with friends :)
great job on the speed work! I thought you had sworn off speed work??? Love the running skirt in the pictures!
Nothing says kick ass run like a little breaking and entering! I try to trespass as much as possible when I am out running. When I can't trespass, I normally try to pee on someones lawn. :)
Seriously though, those runs sound like a BLAST. Running on the beach is the best.
actually i know windermere thankyouverymuch! boom shaka laka in your face. just kidding. i do know it though, i mean HELLO i was woman-on-the-side #28473847. (or i have a friend from college who lives there, whichever you want to choose).
i have missed interacting with you via the internet. i know it is my fault. i missed you.
um, cutest running outfit e.v.e.r.
