February Recap/Stats

February Recap

(I'm working on the race recap and will have it up tonight!)

Miles Planned/Ran: 200±/167±

Rest Days Planned/Taken: 5/5

Highest Mileage Week: 51± M - 2x!!!

Long Runs Planned/Ran: 4/4 (Including the Marathon, cuz that counts right?)

Hill Workouts Planned/Ran: 3/3

Pace Workouts Planned/Ran: 2/2

Current Book: Would you believe, I'm STILL working on The Memoirs of Cleopatra. It is the longest book ever! 957 pages! Almost done though...

Current Shame-Inducing Guilty Pleasure:
http://www.textfromlastnight.com/ / Ya'll have probably already been to the site but it STILL entertains me to no end.

Current Colors: Blue as in Gasparilla Marathon Shirt Blue :)

Current Obsessions: As always, look no further than this here blog.

Current Drink: Forever and always H20... although that Shock Top yesterday was the best d@mn beer I ever had!

Current Song: Hot Mess - Cobra Starship; it always cracks me up and comes on everytime The Brunette and I are down at the gym. Oh to be young, dumb and drunk again...

Current Wish-List: Ya know I'm pretty d@mn content right now. :)

Current Need: For it to be 5pm so I can head over to the spa and get my massage!

Current Triumph: Shaving 12 minutes off my previous Marathon time and finishing Gasparilla Marathon in 3:56!

Current Bane of my Existence: People who pee on the seat and then don't clean it up. During a race? Acceptable. At the Convention Center during the expo? NOT ACCEPTABLE. I don't want to see your pee! End Rant... Oh wait and stairs... those kinda suck right now.

Current Goal: To bask in the after glow for at least a week and enjoy my upcoming vacation to its fullest.

Current Indulgence: Last night after the race I had: Reese's Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, a Half of a Gourmet Cupcake, Pretzel with Cheese and some Carrot Cake and I enjoyed every calorie!

Current Blessings: As always my family, friends and boyfriend.

Current Excitement: Besides that whole marathon thing yesterday? Getting to see Spike on Wednesday and spending 5 glorious days with him!!!

I had to refocus there after reading the bottom part. My eyes were hurting.

51-mile weeks!! Amazing!!

Of course, I'll be awaiting the recap anxiously. Still in awe of your time and your ability to knock off 12 minutes from your first marathon, which was already a great time.

Great month! Enjoy the high, and the massage.

Thanks, Morgan! I'm reminding myself NOT to be disappointed in my time (was aiming toward 4:30), since finishing IS awesome just in itself. My non-runner friends think I'm crazy right now for not being 100% ecstatic. Haha.
Unfortunately at work, but I'm leaving early for a massage!

GOOD JOB! YOU KICKED ASS!

Maybe it's because I'm a guy, but I don't understand how a woman would pee on a seat. Guys do it all the time, but women? I don't get it.

If you're not liking stairs, at least go for a walk for 30-60 minutes today. If you can muster up some slow recovery miles (1 1/2 - 2 min slower than your race pace), that would be good, too. But try to do something today. You need to keep your legs moving to help recover.

awesome month, girly! So proud of you and that PR. And you're totally killing me with that peeing on the seat thing. I hate when people (namely my kids) do that!
