3 Things Thursday

  1. Tomorrow I head up to Jacksonville to crash with Christy in preparation for the Gate River Run on Saturday! Yay!!! I can't wait to nerd out about running with her again and everyone keep your fingers crossed that I pace her to a PR as promised!

  2. This week Track Shack is hosting their annual Spring Sale and everything in the store is 20% off! EVERYTHING! Do you hear that O-town peeps? Get yourselves over there ASAP for some sweet deals. I scored me a new pair of kicks (Asics GT-2150's) for $80. Hell's yeah! I can't wait to break them in for the next training cycle, I swear they are trying to lure me into another cycle right now... I won't do it!!! Back in your box til its time!

  3. With the Week O' XTraining on deck for next week I'm just prewarning you that ya'll probably won't hear much out of me. You can count on a race recap and 3 Things Thursday (As if I'd miss one! I created 3 Things Thursday!) but that's probably it. No running = no material. I mean do you really want a play by play of my 45 minutes on the stationary bike? "So I kept on pedaling... and pedaling... and pedaling..." Yeah not nearly as exciting as all my running tales so I'm counting on ya'll to keep me entertained as I live vicariously through your running. Don't suck. :)

Rock those races and long runs this weekend, I hope more beautiful weather is coming your way! Catch ya'll on the flipside of my first 15k pacing attempt!

15K is my fav distance. Really, it's long enough where you have to strategize about your race plan, and short enough you can almost go at 10K pace. You & your peep Christy will have an awesome time & get an awesome time, I just know it.

Hope you like the 2150's, I almost bought a pair, and the person in the Asics store in NY told me they are the most popular shoe in the store.

I hear ya about the tedium of posting about stationary bike tales. Except for me it is treadmill tales.

You can be creative with the stationary bike recap. In 45 minutes on the bike, there will be 10 blog-worthy people-watching incidents you can report on. Don't let us down!

Have fun at your race Boo bear and I'm sure you'll be an excellent pacer.

Have fun with pacing half! I had so much fun with my pacing adventure a couple months back and I'm sure you will too! Just be attentive to your pacee and don't talk too much or expect responses during the last 5K.

Oh I need me some new 2150's mine are going on 400+ miles now...

And thanks a lot for the added pressure not to suck at my running next week, sheesh!

So you're saying your week of hiatus of running is also a break of sorts from blogging... hmmmm... it'll probably be a nice relaxing change for you next week. Enjoy it and good luck at the Gate!

I loooooove 15ks! They are my favorite. Such an easy breakdown--before you know it, you're at the 5k mark, and then 10k and then, just 5k to go--so easy! There are a TON of 15k races around the lake in Dallas and I love them. Plus, one of my fastest and best races was a 15k, so, I have a soft spot for them. You'll totally pace her to an awesome PR!

PS. Love the new profile picture!

There's always good people watching at the gym. Can't wait to hear about the race! Good Luck!

woohoo..gotta love those sales....and woohoo on the upcoming 15k....rock on!

Have a GREAT time not running. It is so much better when you actively take yourself out of the sport instead of the other way around.

Tell Christy I said 'Hi'. She has been pretty lonley w/out the hubs.

Have a super fun time! You will rock as a pacer! Eager to hear all about it!

I went into Track Shack on Monday with a plan, but things got kind of out of hand lol. Have fun in your 15k!

Jeri said...

you could always make up stories about running down pedestrians on the stationary bike. I'd be entertained at least.

And I forgive you for falling asleep during alice. And you have a much more convincing argument as to why you didn't like it than nick did, "it sucked." Ahem. boys....

Jill said...

Have a great time this weekend!! Sounds like you'll have fun - as always :).

Kelly said...

Haha I'd be shocked if you couldn't come up with anything interesting to say after a trip to the gym haha.

Have fun with the race this weekend!

Here's to a fun run with Christy! You will take her all the way to a PR, you know you will girl!

Yes, I do want a play by play of the bike. Pedal, pedal, curse, spit, drink, pedal, complain about ass hurting, pedal. Whoot!
