The other day my fav sports bra's at Target, the C9 ones with the adjustable straps, were on sale. I picked up a new one in size XS and happily made my way to the check out. A few days later I went to wear it and that's when I realized its happened again...

My boobs have disappeared.
Well this time it's worse. I didn't realize it until after I noticed how loose the new bra fit that my other sports bra's are loose too. I was never a Gal with Girls to begin with but my Target bra's have been tried and true! I've tried almost every other kind out there but they either don't come small enough or are not comfortable. M2Marathon suggested Itty Bitty Bra's to me after my initial post but I don't think I'd dig wearing such a bra-like sports bra. What to do?
I've got less than 5 weeks til the marathon and I've always doubled up workout shirts that have the built in bra's with my sports bra's so it's not like I'm hurting for support or anything. I mean they're gone, what's there to support anyway? I know they'll come back after I stop training so hard. Or at least I hope so... they did last time. They will right?!

*sigh*
I've got no lovely lady lumps.
*sigh*
Guess I'll just resort to stuffing my bra again... do you think chicken cutlets are sweat resistant?

Yeah, I have nothing for you here. Sorry.
I often joke that i'm not sure why I wear a sports bra...nothing needs supporting
Just found your blog, looks like a fun read over here! :)
hahahaha! That is hilarious! At least you do not have my problem with the sagginess! I would take the no boobs any day!
Oh girl, I'm sorry, but I have to laugh! I've suffered the shrinking boobage... it's so funny because my Mom and sisters are, um, WELL-ENDOWED, and they constantly tease me.
I'm still able to find bras that work, but I really feel for you. Hope you can figure something out.
ha ha ha! I've got nothing either...and I'm almost 30. Sometimes I feel like I'm 12. It just comes with the territory.
When was the last time that you saw a really great woman runner who was sporting DD's? You don't! Be proud of your runner body girl.
PS.I don't have boobs either. I would take no boobs over those flabby things any day.
I lost a lot of boobage when I lost weight. And then I lost more when I started running marathons. Now I'm barely a B. I used to be a jiggly D.
I embrace the itteh bitteh tittehs! It means I can get away with going braless on occasion, and they certainly don't bother me while I"m running.
Besides, as certain folks have said, "anything more than a handful is wasted." :)
Yeah I have the TOTAL boob loss going on here. I was never that well endowed, but this is ridiculous. I love how they have the "barely A" size in the store. That's probably about my size. Oh and just wait until you have kids, if you do. The titty fairy will come at first, then you will breastfeed (yes milk can even come out of chicken cutlets) and after you dry up they will shrink, shrink, shrink.
Oh girl, I feel your pain! Only problem is, mine never really "come back"--maybe a little bit, but, not to what they were. It's weird! And I'm not one of those gals who when I gain like 15 pounds (ahem) that I gain any of it in my boobs--nope, they're still "normal" size--only to magically go away when I drop to a "normal" weight and then are totally nonexistent when I get to "skinny" weight. Boo!
I'm glad us guys don't have to worry about "things" shrinking when we train a lot ;) Now cold water, that is another story LOL!!
Oh no :( I have no advice. I'm just hear to rub your back and say everything will be ok! Do the boobs come back?
I have the same problem! I was wearing the Fiona Bra by moving comfort while I was pregnant and nursing for the last 5 years. But now that I stop my chest is completely gone. Especially if I lift my arms ... such a blow to the ego. Anyway, I have worn the running sports bra (Seriously that's the name) from Old Navy for a few weeks now. It's been awesome and they are $15 and you can usually get them on clearance for less!
Oh no girl! Well I have plenty that I have gained back from not running as much, you are welcome to some! :) Don't worry, maybe they will eventually come back! I would be happy to know I didn't have to double up on my support!
and yet, mine have gotten bigger.
My boobs are bigger than I want them to be. You can have mine.
I see a new product in the making - wicking and cooling/heating stuffing. :)
This post is worthless without pics! LOL!
J/K girly! I love those Target bras! I wear the small but you are right, it sucks not having any boobs. I can't say they come back, and like you they are the first to go on me, too! Just embrace it...you earned those itty-bitty titties! :)
Hahaha....I can totally relate. I am a fellow XS sports bra wearer and I always have trouble around marathon time. I tend to turn my into a carry all. I fill the space with Gu, car keys, cell phone, even my camera (its water proof).
While I was busy letting myself get sloppy over the holidays I noticed my ta-tas got bigger. It really bothered me!! I don't want big jugs flopping around when I run!
Even before I started running I could tell when I wasn't eating as much as a should be judging by how small the boobs were. Oh well I guess....at least we don't have to worry about back pain from big ones!
Heheheh.. Same issue here girl, but I guess it is better than having too much to deal with. I linked you in today...and Robin, the irony that she recently posted about those with cups that runneth over..
LOL!! I don't mind my shrinking tata's so much, I just wish my muffin tops would shrink at the same rate!
haha!! omg - "I've got no lovely lady lumps" ....heyo, I'm with ya. I usually go with Target brand stuff too. And...if that doesn't work? hmmm...i got nothin! sorry!
I really never had boobs to lose :(
Girl, whatever, you are HAWT. Plus, it's better not to have boobs when running!
It's funny, but I always look forward to less boobidge when I start running.
You women have it hard i'm sure, I have a hard time getting running gear I like as it is! But us guy's will allway's love you runner women no matter what!
First place to go, first place to come back! You will get them back bean as soon as you put on a little body fat!
Chicken cutlets = priceless. If it makes you feel any better, I would totally give you some of mine if I could.
On boobs, I have always been bigger than a C...topping out at D's. Now that i am running and losing weight. I'm a B cup! Never in my life did I think that would happen! Ahhhh...
I have no help for you bra wise. No suggestions or anything! Wear the chicken cutlets though! That's HOT!
Hehe... chicken cutlets...nice touch :)
Haha. Maybe the cutlets will absorb the sweat and get even larger...! :)
Oh man, I can totally relate to you. On my last run, I was thinking, why do I even bother wearing a bra anyways....?
Have you ever checked out moving comfort?? They have really great bras and all different kinds of sizes. check it! movingcomfort.com
I've always assumed that girls w/o boobs wear bras (while not running) to give the appearance of boobs. But if you've got none, you don't need support. right? then why bother with the sports bra
I'm always complaining about having to wear two bras. Guess the grass ISNT always greener on the other side ;)
I posted the same comment on Mel's blog but seriously what diet are you guys following? I am running my butt off...but not my boobs.
boo.
I guess that means you're very lean! no fat = no womanly curves. It's a trade off I guess. : (
I'm always saying that my boobs are supporting my bra, not the other way around. my bra quite often gets turned on me to the side-- how sad is it that, THAT can happen?
It's depressing but you're not alone. I guess its better than backpain while running-- I could never imagine that!
Your post is great!!
I am getting a double whammy. Beginning the decline in nursing AND losing weight. I have one really great Nike sports bra that I wear ALL the time. My last one I wore until it was in shreds!! When companies learn little girls need held too!
That's a really good question. I wonder IF chicken cutlets are sweat resistant! I think we might have something here...I'll get working on it right away!!!
XOXO,
Erin
Here's a member of the barely A club, too! It's okay, though, makes running a little easier. :)
ugh, that sucks. wait until you have a baby, then it's a whole new boob ballgame.
I just got a new bra from Kalyx and it is so comfortable AND pretty! Check out www.goKALYX.com
Really? The girls would come back if I stopped training? never thought of it. My B+s shrunk to an A- but I look at it this way: they'll never sag! ; )
holly comments, batman! posting something about boobs is better than having a "de-stalk and comment" day.
i say take a couple of socks and stuff 'em. wicking, of course.
I can't really relate, my boobs are still in the "epic porportions" catergory. They've shrunk. Like, to a now normal big boob size, like D. But they're still not going to be wrangled in by a cheapie bra from Target. I'm really upset by this fact.
SO funny! I'm in the same boat. And yeah, all the comments about having kids are correct. I kept wondering how they could possibly get any smaller, but they can. sigh.
Funny post! Not a problem I have. No help here. I like it when mine get smaller!
Girl, that is a bummer, but in all honesty, I think I'd rather lose my boobs right now, because it would mean I'm losing weight!!
I was just reading how Australian hurdler Jana Rawlinson had her breast implants removed for the Olympics... Consider yourself lucky to already have an Olympic quality chest!
Hope you'll don't mind but I included you and BOB in my post tonight. :)
haha that totally happens to me too! Question...do you ever have a problem with your potassium droping to low or giving you problems when you are running a lot?
Came across this post through Tall Mom. I'm also a redheaded runner with practically no lady lumps. :) I feel your pain. Or, your lack of pain, rather.
Yeahhhhhhhhhhh. *Chooses words very carefully as not to offend...or sound like a total creeper*
So the FUNNY part is that I saw this post at work in my reader and decided that there was NO way that I could check it out at work. :)
Sadly, I've developed a bit of runners chest myself (booo no muscles) but I'm working on it. *flexes*
Do they come back? Please say yes...I have always had "teaspoons" (nickname curtesey of my a-hole boyfriend in highschool). the only time I had lucious boobies was when I was prego and nursing. Chicken cutlets sound like a great idea, very natural. just don't go running with them!!!!
OH NO OH NO!!! Things people don't share when you discuss starting to run. Please say it ain't so. I can NOT go from a 34A to a "whats smaller than a 34a?".
Funny read, but this is a serious problem. On the flip side, my legs will be too die for...so maybe I'll invest in some turtle neck mini dresses?
You know, bra shopping sucks! Who makes those things, anyway?
I've got the same no boob issue. And I prefer it that way! When my boobs are getting bigger that usually means so is my bum so I'll take the small boobs any day!
Yeah I have some stuff, prolly a lot more than you but they are still small. They really do shrink down when i am running alot. In college it was funny - i would be small from September to march then I would be big from march to September!!
unlike adam i am brave enough to read this at work (since your blog isn't blocked today by the evil internet blocker).
i will gladly be an organ donor. they can remove the fat from my buddha belly / enormous rear and beef up your lady lumps. i mean, boobs are all just balls of fat anyway. i have plenty, i'll share.
Holy crap...how did I miss out on THIS discussion! I want to say I feel you, but um, that would be a lie, but here's the way I think about it...
If you've ever raced near the front of the pack like I have, you'd know that boob size is inversely related to speed...so I'm thinking you must be getting really, really fast!!!
Good job speedy, and oh, as your virtual lady lump consultant, they'll surely come back after you're done with your training!
LMAO! Poor Morgan!
How about doubling up on push-ups? Not the bra, but the actual exercise? ;) Hee hee.
Awww no fun. :\ you crack me up girl.
I can always count on your blog for a good time haha
oh no! I switched from the S to the XS about 9 mos ago and they're still a-ok with me. did have to downgrade on some real life bras though. it was a truly sad sad day. they should totally make XXS. what the heck?!?!
This was great!!! Too funny. When I got to the starting corral at MCM, I noticed my sports bra was extremely loose. I guess I lost some of my gals during training and didn't realize it until race day. It's a good thing they are small to begin with as I didn't have to worry about chafing during the marathon...there was nothing to bounce around!!! Gotta be thankful for some things!
My girls are back now that I ain't running and I'm NOT happy about that! Less boobage = less chafing...yayee!
