January Recap/Stats

This morning I headed out for a 4 mile recovery run with the Orlando Runner's Group. We did a route around the Waterford Lakes area and despite the rather blustery morning it was an excellent run and I met some great new peeps. I kept it a nice easy pace and felt d@mn good for having just run 22.5 M yesterday. On the way home I swung by the new pedestrian sidewalk along the 408 to see if it was open yet. Apparently it's not but I snuck past the sign and jogged a little ways in just to round out my monthly mileage... (Have I mentioned I'm OCD and don't like odd numbers?)

What sign? I see nothing but finished sidewalk here! :)

On a nice day this will be so pretty with Downtown as the back drop, can't wait work it into a route soon!

In an effort to stick with my goals for this year and hold myself accountable, here are my stats for the month of January. I decided to make it a little more interesting by adding in a fun list I stole from Kelly who stole it from Lisa which means I don't get an ounce of credit for creativity whatsoever. Enjoy! :)

Great accomplishments!

My biggest pet peeve are signs like that which block people from accessing great trails or jogging routes. I finally found a great spot near work to run to find out they closed the bike trail for the winter. Gaah!

January was a good month except for that bubonic plague episode! Hopefully February will be good too!! You are really packing on the miles!

trialsoftraining said...

Glad you're also obsessed with this here blog - 'cause clearly we all are too! ;)

53.5 miles in a week?! OOF - GO REDHEAD!! I'm barely breaking 35 right now and thinking "holy crap legs, hang in there!"

Alright, February - steer clear of bubonic plague! Hope you're off to a good start over there! xo

Adam said...

Nice! 4 miles after a 22 miler would have been... rough.

So, I'll admit that I totally envisioned you going around those cones and stepping ankle deep into wet cement. Now, THOSE would be good pictures.

50+ miles! Scoooore. Loved all of the random stuff in your recap. Color?!

lindsay said...

dude still a solid month! love the detailed breakdown of the training plan. (but you know, i'm a stat-whore) your numbers all look good to me, especially with the bubonic plague.

runblackgirlrun said...

OMG! 170 miles in a month. You are my new superhero. I'm calling you "REDRUN Bad Ass".

Ps your wish list for Nke Dri-FIT pacer shorts in xs is hilarious. I just wish for any shorts in XS. Well actually I wish more that all the junk in my trunk would fit into an XS. but that's beside the point.

Anyway, congrats on an awesome january...wishing you an equally if not more awesome February. Good LUCK!
