3 Things Thursday

  1. Ya'll love to talk about boobs or rather lack there of. LMAO! Thanks for all the feedback yesterday. I will gladly accept all boobage donations from those of you that offered! LOL!

But seriously, ya'll are right; I should just be happy I will always have perky girls that never hurt my back. Good thing Spike isn't a boob guy. ;)

  2. Holy high mileage Batman! This week has been a doozy and I've still got my first 22 miler on deck for Saturday with B.o.B and the BRA to go! What's the highest mileage week ya'll have ever completed in a training cycle???

  3. And last but certainly not least... One month from TODAY I will run #2 - Gasparilla Marathon!!! I can't believe it's right around the corner! I am just about ready to tackle the distance; only a few more long runs to go before taper. I have my tank ready to be screen printed with the Operation Jack & my blog logos and the only thing I'm short on is my goal. I had hoped to raise $750 and I am just shy of the final amount....

*Gets on knees, clasps hands together and turns on the puppy eyes*

Would you, kind readers, help me achieve my goal and throw a fiver my way??? Please oh pretty, pretty, pretty please???? I would be ever indebted to you and just think about the many chittlins lives you could improve by helping out this great cause! (If you didn't read my post about why I'm running for Operation Jack & Train 4 Autism you can find it
HERE.) Now if you can find it in your hearts to help me raise awareness and can spare a square... er rectangle o' green, please donate here:

How exciting that you only have a month to go! You are going to do awesome :-)

Gosh highest mileage week? I think I blocked that one out.
So excited for your marathon--I'm hoping to get down there for the 1/2 one of these years.
A donation is coming your way as soon as I get my mom Taxi rounds out of the way!

I can't believe it's a month already! Where does the time go?

Good luck with that 22 this weekend. That is such a long way to run. :)

My highest mileage was 50m in a week... hoping to top it this time around. We'll see, because I'm doing a lot of other stuff this time too! (Spinning, aerobics classes, other xtraining)

$10.00 has been donated and you are now over your $750.00 goal :-)

You will rock this race!

Really? One month to go? Where did the time go? Good luck this weekend, you're gonna rock it!
I'm on my wait to donate!
BTW, I didn't marry a boob guy either...THANK GOD!

My hubby isn't a boob guy either, but he has always said that if I ever wanted to get them, he wouldn't oppose ... typical, right?

Only one month!! Yay!! You'll rock this weekend's 22! Good luck!

Uhh highest mileage, probably would be like 27 miles for a week. i don't get up that high cause i don't train for marathons like all you hard core kids!

What company are you using to get your tank done?? Will talk to hubs about donating. With selling the house and buying a new one funds are TIGHT..

1 month?? YIPPERS!!

Alicia said...

Donated. Now that I'm invested in your training, I'll be watching very closely! ;)

My hubs isn't a boob guy either. Good thing, I guess!

A month?! Ah, that flew!!! Kinda freaks me out, considering mine isn't too far behind. CRAZY!

I don't think my training plan exceeds a 38 mile week. Mostly because I know that my body is happy right around 30, so getting much higher than that would be pushing it a little too much. Goal - injury free training! :)

Good luck with the LR this weekend!!

I+t's almost game time!! Rock out that 22 miler this week. Just have fun with it.

As far as mileage goes, lets just say that your long run has more miles in it than my highest mileage week lol.

Totally off topic but, is that you that I see RSVPd to meet with the running group on Sunday? If so I'll see you there!

Oh yeah... you are totally gonna rock that marathon next month :)

Your comments did increase substantially when you discussed the girls. I am not sure what to write here without getting weird. ;)

What is your goal time for the marathon? Your runs have all been pretty speedy and your 22 miler will be a good indication. Good luck!

OOOOH! COOL that you're getting your blog logo/URL on your race shirt. I would like to do this for my marathon!! How are you doing this?? Haha

Good luck on the 22-miler! I don't know what my highest mileage week was but my highest month was September 2009 at 104 miles! I'm hoping to blow that out of the water during marathon training though!

Nice work. Looks like you're above that $750 goal now! Don't you just love the blogging world?! Have fun on that looong run! At least you have a few good friends to run with.

Good luck on the run this weekend!

AH, 22 miles coming up! You rock and thanks for visiting my blog! Good luck this weekend!

GAH! My weakness! (donating to charities, not boobs)
I can't say no.

Consider you officially "supported" by me for Operation Jack. Hee hee. Like my boob reference there?

Robin said...

Yes, darling, VM will drop some $$ in the coffer for you. :-) Boob talk definitely gets mileage, doesn't it?? My boob post continues to generate lots 'o talk! A month? I'm putting a note to myself in my thursday file.. remind me as we get closer, just in case. Hey, that means it's almost time for our lunch date. Yay!

What's your mileage this week...with still a long 22 to go? That's why the boobs have vanished!

One month. Wow! The time is flying by! I will check the couch cushions and head over to help out.

My longest training run was 21 miles.
WE meant to do a 24-miler, but it never happened. Can't remember why...
I can't believe people offered to give you their boobs!
No one has ever offered ME boobs before! And I'm not flat, but I could totally use some!!!

Kelly said...

Haha on the boob thing- I am lacking in that department too but I don't mind, makes life easier I'd say :)

I think it's great you are running to support autism. I've had several children with this diagnosis in my kindergarten class and you are definitely right about the importance of early intervention. Your donation site won't let me visit at the moment but I'll try again tomorrow :)

Sorry - my comp has been really strange about letting me leave comments lately. I tried and tried yesterday but nothing doing. I am thinking that it was a bit sleepy from the long week or something.

I can't believe that your race is only a month away! Crazy how the time flies by. pretty soon you'll be in FULL on tape mode.

I've done a 60 mile week before, but then I got a stress fracture - so I am not planning on doing that again ANY time soon!

lindsay said...

i already donated so i'm not going to again... don't hold it against me.

i think i donated anyway. haha.

yeah i will always have plenty of fat avail whenever you are ready!
