Guess who's back? Back again?!? Holy bagees ya'll have been busy while I was M.I.A.!!! I have a billion posts backlogged in my google reader, a jillion comments on my marathon and birthday posts and it's going to take me ages to get caught up!!! But I'm back and I've missed ya'll so much!!!
Before I get to the vaca recap I'll give ya a few pics from marathonfoto that I stole like the ninja I am... as you will see, I really was the happiest little redhead running in all of Chi-town and I think I did Danica proud, as I totally rocked some waterproof mascara.

B.o.B & I at 40k

Finishing with the biggest smile on my face!
Medaled & Blanketed!

Marathon Finisher with the Medal to prove it!!!
So besides running marathons what have I been up to you ask? (You did ask right? I mean that's why you're here right???)
Well let's just say I've been having quite the adventure... We last left off I had run a little marathon in Chicago and was heading back to the homeland for a few days with the Fam up in Michigan... (That's right folks, Spike is not an insane deranged murderer and delivered me in one piece to my family) I've decided the best way to recap this trip would be in list format (cuz we all love lists) and to keep things interesting, I may or may not have done all or none of the following*:
- Had glorious pumpkin pancakes with my Dad before he left town
- Got caught in traffic and missed the first train into the city
- Went to Shedd's Aquarium and acted inappropriately
- Ate entirely way too much candy and became hopelessly addicted to Reese's Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
- Saw a guy driving a steam roller on the road outside a McDonald's promptly after arriving in Michigan (Home Sweet Home)
- Ate 3 slices of pizza for dinner and didn't feel guilty at all
- Got up at 6am for my first post-marathon run and realized that Portage Lake, Michigan is a very dark and scary place with no sidewalk or shoulder and got ran into a ditch by a semi and then almost trampled by a deer as it barreled out of the woods at me...
- After which I opted to run 1 mile repeat loops around a trailer park instead
- Drove a retired police crowne victoria home from a bar that had no passenger window and the seat was broke so I was sitting on the edge of it and using my tippy toes... (Don't worry this was not a drunk driving situation, my friend just drives a hoopty)
- Got woken up at 6am by 4 little girls who wanted to recount to their favorite "Aunt Jenny who lives by Tinker Bell" all about the Jackson County Fair and then made to judge a fashion show before they left for school
- Went on a run around the Jackson area and somehow managed to bruise my foot running hill repeats
- Shared a brew-ha-ha with my brothers as we are all officially legal to drink
- Spent an evening at Jackson's finest dirt-hole of a bar; Wool-E-Bully's with Alicia
- Had a wonderful visit with my family
- Killed Bambi's Mom on 127
- Received the most beautiful flowers ever.
- Flung shrimp across a fancy restaurant. Classy.
- Went and saw Zombieland, greatest. zombie. movie. ever. I. Love. Zombies.
- Tailgated at the MSU game with some pretty awesome people
- Went to an actual working cider mill and had fresh cider with donuts that definitely did not taste like pumpkin. False advertising much?!?!
- Took an evening stroll under a blanket of red, yellow and green
- Ate entirely way too much sushi and yet not enough to avoid the FAIL stamp... who leaves 2 pieces of sushi?!?!? FAIL!
- Bowled a horrific 55 pin game in the biggest bowling dive I've ever seen. Come on Lansing, you're better than that!!! FAIL!
- Was swept up in a whirlwind romance, the likes of which romantic comedy's are derived from.
- Froze my @ss off for 10 straight days.
- Passed out on the plane home and drooled all over myself. Classy.
- Went out to dinner with all my wonderful Florida Family aka my awesome friends upon arriving home and had such a great night eating, drinking and enjoying each other's company
* Can you spot the fakes? I crack myself up.
Alright bloggy buddies I really gotta get some work done around here and start catching up... I hope ya'll have been well and I will do my best to stop by all your digs and catch up on what I've missed!!! Morgan is back and there is a sh*t ton of running to talk about so prepare yourself for some good ol' redhead running posts soon!

I think we are going to have to run 10 miles on Wednesday just to have enough time to catch up (in no way am I serious in suggesting that lol).
I can't wait to hear all the stories!
Duuuuude. I love this list. I love that you had such an amazing adventure. And mostly importantly I LOVE that you are back.
This weekend should be fun.
Welcome home, Marathoner.
I was loving your list until I got to the point where you said that one of the items was made up. Please tell me you threw shrimp across the restaurant. And please, please tell me you passed out on the plane!
GReat photos!!
I think it is fun to have a beer with my siblings and we are way past 21 age..
Fun list..
Is the romance the fake one on the list? Please say no, I love romance stories! LOL
Glad you're back!!!
I saw Zombieland too.....loved it! Zombies crack me up
Welcome back!
I totally read "Was rescued from a terrible evening by a prince in his Onyx" as 'Oryx' like the funny looking African goats. That'd both be completely awesome and the fake one at the same time.
Pretty much off topic from your post, but I'm cracking up because I just spotted my friends standing behind you in your "Medaled and Blanketed!" photo.
The guy wearing orange shirt and sunglasses who is partially obstructed by your head in Jason, and the Korean guy to the left is Will...but the really funny thing is that Will didn't even run the marathon... he just jumped in for the last 3 miles to help Jason finish and then ran past the point of no return and was forced to run through the finishing chute... he was even offered a finisher's medal (which he declined with some embarrassment)... Anyway, I'm just cracking up because he turned up in about half of Jason's photos and now here he is again in your photo... he sure got a lot of publicity for a bandit!!!
Glad you are back! And happy belated birthday!!!
Thankfully, I don't think there are too many deers in Florida, right?
Loved the list, Marathoner! Glad you had an awesome b-day week!
Keep enjoying the marathon glow, you deserve it! ;)
I'm laughing out loud at the list! They could make a reality TV show about yur vay-cay, and I mean that in a good way. ;)
AWESOME race pics. You look freaking great!
WELCOME BACK!
You are too funny!! Glad you had a great vacation. Love the marathon picutres - you look awesome!! :)
i've been telling people about the racers i was following your race weekend how each of them [aquadump, chicrunner and yourself, namely] were insanely positive about the race and how that directly affected the outcome. you guys rock.
and, yay for pumpkin pancakes!
your list made me LOL at work!!! -cw
I'm sorry I missed you at the MSU game but glad you had a great week! It sounds like there's a trend going on in Michigan - dark streets that are unfit for running before dawn without a flashlight! Congrats again on the great race!
so whats the running plan going to be before the relay? Oh yeah...Glad your back too. Fun hearing about your mischief....I cant wait to hear all about your romance!
Yeah- Glad you are back!!!!
Girl- READ YOUR EMAIL!!
Wicked list! Did you really fling shrimp?!?! Ha ha! You crack me up. :) I'm so glad that you had a nice little vacay! Also, the pictures rock!
If you ever kill Bambi's mother around here call me up! We'll have venison steaks!!!! LOL.... (my southern/redneck roots popping out) Seriously, as I read your list I wouldn't put it past you if every single one of those were true! Glad you had a big SUCCESS on your vacation!
"After which I opted to run 1 mile repeat loops around a trailor park instead "
I think all that running has affected your brain ♥
It was awesome meeting you even if it was 3:30 in the morning. I was thrilled that you blessed are tailgate with your presence and sorry I stood you two up on dinner but tailgating and a terrible first half of football takes a lot out of a guy. Well hope to run into you in January when the SPARTANS invade Orlando.
Ha - Velvet Touch - shadiest looking place in history.
I'm jealous you got to tailgate @ MY homecoming, I have to get back to east lansing before the season is over.
Oh, THANK GOD! I'm so happy you are back--and with a crazy-awesome list to boot. Spill the beans. What is true and what is made up? Don't you know we're nosy and we need to know these things? :)
Also, I am somehow going to be out of town the next THREE(!) weekends (2 of them may or may not be because I allowed myself to get conned into driving to my sister's and babysitting for my darling neice again). BUT, can we please plan a run for the second weekend in November (the weekend of Nov. 14-15)? Please say you will be here! And . . . uh, sorry I'm so lame.
I missed you!!!!! Glad you had such a fab vacation :D
Fantastic race pics, girl!
Poor Bambi's mom.
hehehe, what a list! great-lookin photos :)

Great recap - LOVE your pics!
argh! don't ever leave me like that again! haha!
really now? a deer? I'm always super worried that's actually gonna happen to me one of these mornings ...
Ha!! I hope the "bambi's mom" thing was a "fake". But I hope the Pumpkin pancakes and wonderful-fam-visit and MSU-tailgating were the "reals". ;)
glad you're back in action!!!
3 pieces of pizza = normal.
but then again you are anorexic and i am just a pig.
glad you made it back safe. i sure missed you... even though i tried to play tough.
Wow...you really outdid yourself on that home vacay! Sounds like it was so much fun though.
Glad you're back! I did miss having a little redheadedness in my blog life for the past week...

Great list! Sounds like a blast!
