It's the little things...

I moved to Florida about 9 1/2 years ago and I NEVER get homesick... except in October. When the leaves are changing colors, the bonfire's are blazing, there's a chill in the air and Halloween is looming... You can take the girl out of the North, put her in sunshine and she will love it, but you can't replace her love of the Autumn in October...

A couple of weeks ago I was able to capture my first look at Autumn in years. It was breathtaking and I couldn't stop taking pictures of trees and picking up leaves... There's just something so magical about it; like witnessing a painting being created right in front of your eyes...

I got a package today.

I was expecting it.

Only I wasn't expecting a box, merely an envelope.

When I opened it I was overwhelmed by the smell of the wind, the sound of leaves rustling against one another and a patchwork quilt of color...

It's the little things that mean the most in life and unexpected suprises are the best.

That package is just the sweetest thing EVER! Lucky!

Being raised in Russia and now living in So Cal & Texas, uh, I really miss the REAL change in seasons.

Oh, that is awesome!! I had a friend send me a card last year with leaves in it. The smell is just beyond compare, isn't it? Enjoy your fall! :-)

What a thoughtful "gift" - enjoy your dose of autumn. I would miss it so much! I wish this time of year could last much longer. Sadly, the leaves will all be gone before long and it'll be time to start thining about the white stuff and sub-zero temps. Boo...

How lucky for you! Even though I only moved a province away, we don't get leaves like that here, so I totally understand your homesickness. My family emails me photos like that every year....

That is the cutest package ever! I miss Fall too!! Sigh. Looking on the bright side, thouh, I can basically guarantee I won't miss winter when we get to that point :) So yay for that!

And also, to answer your question, I am attending a residential personal training school here (NPTI), which is how I ended up in your neck of the woods ;)

So glad we get to FINALLY meet up in a couple of weeks!!

That is such an awesome gift!!! I am from Arizona where we do not have fall. Then I moved to South Carolina, so I understand how it is such a beautiful season. I never want to move back to Arizona because I would miss the fall too much!

That is so nice. Someone really knows and cares about you! I don't know what I'd do if I didn't get to experince all the seasons.

Enjoy your little piece of Fall.

That is awesome. Now the real question is, come February, will the same person send you a box of grey snow and ice?

aww thats so sweet. Here in Houston, we don't "really" have a fall season, if we do its like 2-4 days... sadness.

Sweetest box ever!!

I tend to miss the green-ness of home a bit, but if that were thrown in a box and sent, it'd probably look more like your package by the time if got here. haha.
