8 - Everybody's Working for the Weekend...

TGIF!!!

One day closer to Chicago! This time next week, I'll be at the race expo getting my coveted race bib, hob-knobbing it up with professional athletes, talented runner's, blogger friends, etc... and buying Chicago Marathon themed EVERYTHING to my heart's content.

"Yes I'd like the entire Chicago Marathon 2009 ladies line in size "Small." Please & Thank you!"

Tomorrow's run is a measly 10 miler... yes that's right I said measly. So measly in fact, that I am being all crazy and going out to dinner tonight with the Beaker-Luv Clan and I probably won't get to bed til after 9pm! Not only that, but I'm sleeping in til AFTER dark o' thirty! I may even start my 10 miler at SunRISE! *Gasp*

Redhead Running is living on the edge folks!

After the 10, Ebs and I are trekking over to Bradenton to visit the beloved Rixy. Yay for another Pamlico Girls Reunion! We have beaching, eating and movie marathon watching on deck for the day. I even promised the girls I'd consume one whole adult beverage in early celebration of Rixy & my upcoming birthdays. What did I tell ya? The edge people. It's like Redhead Gone Wild or something... staying up "late", "drinking", "sleeping in"...

Hope ya'll have a great weekend! As always, best of luck on those races & training runs! If you're tapering like I am; Keep busy and stay focused. The end is in sight.

T-MINUS 8 DAYS TIL CHICAGO!!!

LMAO! Dooo it!

This time next week... oh man, it's soooo soon!!

have a great weekend and enjoy livin' on the edge. Starting Sunday you need to sleep AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE every night. Trust me!!! It makes a difference. Get the ZZZs while you can because excitement/nerves/etc. will start getting the best of you as race day approaches.

Wheeeeee!

Redhead Running in the sun light?!?! Interesting concept. I've forgotten what it's like to do an entire run in the daytime. Bring on the cooler weather!

Only ten miles? You make me laugh. I would be dead before I ever reached mile one!

live it up girl! haha! HOpe it goes well and you are able to enjoy your weekend with the girls! isn't it funny how your perspective changes of how short or long distances are!

I still can't believe you called the 10-miler a "measly"...in some running circles...the tenner would qualify as a longish run...Haha!

I'm loving your attitude though. So in your honor...I'm renaming the half-marathon I'm running tomorrow as "Measly and the 5K"...

Have a fun weekend!

Hi, I'm stopping by from SITS. I just wanted to share a bit of comment love!

Measly 10 miles? *cough, cough* What?!? Even before I became ill, even when I was still healthy and exercised by walking regularly (I walked very briskly at least 4-5 times a week, for 45 minutes or so), 10 miles was never in my vocabulary. Well, except if the word CAR was included in the same sentence. I am so jealous. I would SO love to run. Well, right now, I would just like to be able to walk, but running has always been something I wished I could learn to do. You are amazing to me. Good luck with your 'measly 10 miles'!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings,

Teresa <><
