It's my blog; I DO WHAT I WANT.
- I'm sick. It seems traveling from 95 degree weather North to 45 degree weather and then running a marathon through 30 degree weather after which traveling further North to varying degrees between 25-50 and then returning home to 65+ degree weather with a bunch of germ infested travelers really does a number to your immune system. (But totally worth it...)
- Saturday Maddy and I are FINALLY going to meet up and run! We've been trying for months to plan something and Saturday is the day. Yay for Running Dates! (I take what I can get these days folks...)
- So let me tell you how the stars have aligned and true to the mantra "Good things come to those who wait" I get to RUN RAGNAR!!! Moments after posting on Tuesday about riding alongside the BRA, B.o.B IM'd me to tell me a person on their team backed out and I get to be the replacement! YAY!!! So unbelievably stoked! I had really wanted to run this but was happy enough riding alongside the runners at night to still get to be a part of the experience... but now... now I get to run!!! (I may or may not have a voo-doo doll to dispose of...)
- Halloween Halfathon is next Saturday and I was going to rock my Halloween costume but now I'm thinking "Zombie Runner" and/or "Run to Death" having been inspired by seeing Zombieland last Friday night. I can just slash up some old gear and make my hair crazy; cheap, easy and comfortable. Plus; I.love.zombies. B.o.B and I have decided to make this a fun run and just goof around so no PR's, but imagine all the photo ops!!! Oh and did I mention we get to meet the infamous Jamoosh? (Hopefully his "costume" is more than just underwear now that the wife is back in town...)
- Speaking of Halloween, Friday night I have a Halloween Party to attend. It's a revival of my infamous Halloween party and I'm a little curious to see how it's going to stack up against a legend. Yes I'm that conceited about my Halloween Party, I held it 7 straight years and it was EPIC. Actually you should all be sad you didn't know me and weren't able to attend one. Just saying...
- Saturday B.o.B and I are headed over to Clermont to cheer on Navy Steve in the Great Floridian Iron Man competition. So stoked to see these insane athletes put their bodies to the test. Go Navy Steve!!!
- Also this weekend Lazy Runner & The B.R.A. are headed North to run the Marine Corp Marathon, I am so pumped for them and I hope they all KILL IT!!! I will be glued to my computer screen (as I do not trust the runner tracking via text after Chicago) tracking my peeps!
Run Hard, Run Fast, RUN STRONG!!! - My foot still hurts. It started hurting last Thursday mid-run while I was running around Michigan and it hasn't stopped. Post-Marathon Phantom Twinge? Actual injury? Scheduling an appt with the doc soon... Oh the joys of running eh?
- Did you check out the new post over at Creative Loafing? B.o.B just did a great write up about spectating and destination races...
Alright that's it for me and my A.D.D.-ness. Have great runs/races this weekend! Catch ya'll on the flipside...

I did the zombie runner thing many years back. I got an old singlet and cut some holes in it and then ran it over with the car about a dozen times! Don't forget a little fake blood and of course, the fake maggots. I'm telling you, the maggots make the difference!
If you're going to be a zombie runner, just remember rule #1 of Zombieland....Cardio
So much fun stuff just around the corner. Good times will be had by all, I'm sure!
Great news on Ragnar!!!
Love the Zombie costume idea. You ladies are going to have so much fun!!
Good luck to your friends doing IM and MCM this weekend!!
Hope the foot is okay...
I hope your're feeling better soon!
We are TOTALLY sharing a brain. I also did 10 things AND gave YOU a shout out today. I love you Boo!

You inspired me to find a halloween half down here, pretty cool!
It is no wonder you're sick! I hope you feel better! All your activities sound like so much fun! I'm hoping to run a Halloween half next year. I want Husband and I to be the "Run Away bride and groom".
Can't wait to see the Zombie pics! And I'm so jealous about Ragnar. Someday...
Ah, MCM weekend finally here! I'm doing the 10K - mostly just to BE *there* and see all the runners...even if I'm not actually running the Whole thing. :)
Zombie runner?! Yes. I like it!
They had a Ragnar race around here about a month ago, I knew a few people who did it. craaazzyyy!! Will it be your first relay?? What legs are you running?? Hmm excited to hear about this!
Have fun Halloween! Those of us running NYC will try to get to bed early and not eat too much candy. A definite Halloween buzzkill.
You get to meet Jamoosh? Cool! I'm running with Razz next week. Lucky boys. :o)
ummmm yeah chicago's tracker sucked. i got your 10k update and that's it. i never worried that you had dropped out though! but i was irritated that i wasn't being informed. i'm a bad stalker :(
and jealous about ragnar!! that is going to be one big party. you guys better decorate your van!
I totally get the "if only life was like DVR," how true is that.
again, awesome that you get to run RAGNAR, how friggen sweet.
lastly, if you are going to be a zombie runner, you are required to bit people...sorry, them's the rules.
ooo ooo ... bite me bite me!
I really want to see Zombieland! Now you gave me another reason to!
I hope your foot feels better :)
Feel better! Hope the foot thing is just a little tweak and nothing worse than that.
I could TOTALLY go for a DVR life too. This next week or so is going to be so stressful, would love to fast foward it!!!
That Halloween Half sounds like a ton of fun, running in your Halloween costume. I think it will be even more fun to just do for fun so you can stop and take pictures and just enjoy. Can't wait to see them!
umm... I kinda love the zombie runner idea. I might *ahem* borrow it if I do the halloween 5k/10k that I'm contemplating (weather inhibiting) for next Saturday. great idea. :) hopefully the foot is okie dokie. that's not cool.
YAY for RAGNAR....relays are soooooooo much fun. I want to do another x 12.
No Halloween party shall ever compare to the famous J-Mo Halloween parties! Haha.... Nice pictures. You look truly happen in the bottom one!
Are you feeling better yet?
Yay for Halloween, but no customes or candy for me this year because it's the day before my big marathon...so you can have double of everything for me!
Have a great weekend and feel better!
Voodoo doll.. You are too funny.
Sorry about your foot!!
So jealous that you have sooo many local runners and bloggers to meet up with and cheer on..
Ohhh no! I hope you are feeling better, both illness & foot!
