3 Things Thursday

  1. Regarding the comments about my toe nails yesterday... I am def NOT bragging that I've lost so many... I find it seriously perplexing and no you can not see them!!! Crazy foot fetish freaks... Just picture this: My big toe's look like Lee Press-on Nails gone bad (you can actually see underneath the nails... YUCK!!!), one is just an empty socket, yes I said socket, no nail, just skin. The other five are busted up weird looking things that I paint over in hopes of passing off as nails... and then there's the two that are perfectly fine. Cut a girl a break running gods, I've already sacrificed my boobs, social life, heels and dancing ability!!!

  2. Perhaps the package I received last night from Jen over at That Pink Girl will help me figure out this toe nail business; awhile back I won her giveaway for a copy of the Runner's World Complete Book of Women's Running!!! Can you guess what I was up reading last night til 11pm??? Thanks Jen, especially for the thoughtful and inspirational bookmark!!! "Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us" - Hebrews 12:1. After I'm finished with it (and let B.o.B borrow it of course) I plan to spread the wealth so stay tuned.
  3. Speaking of B.o.B., I'm headed over to the West Coast to visit her and the B.R.A. again tomorrow to join them for my last 20 miler of the training schedule Saturday a.m.! So excited!!!

WooHoo! First Comment!

Your toe nails will grow back. They always do. I'm usually down a few too.

Good Luck with your 20 this weekend. You're gonna kill it for sure! No doubt about it.

And I am also majorly bummed about Team Mojo Loco. Maybe next year, right?

Good luck with the 20 miler!! I am doing my first 7 miler this weekend, that sounds pretty sad next to your 20 miles but I am excited!!
Have 3 more pair of shoes coming in the mail tomorrow so the shoe saga continues!
Can't wait for your post and B.O.B's post on the 20 miler, they are always hilarious!!
no funny word verification today, but I always find myself looking before I post just in case it's funny!!

I have some really bad news. The Running Gods don't care a lick about your toe nails. Although I have heard they do check out other things...

Duuuuude! I am so excited about borrowing that book. Thanks man! AND I got TWO mentions in the blog today. You like me.

Can't wait to see you tomorrow. It appears as though I will be bike riding (yay for you!) and re-marking the mile markers (perhaps I shall make them shorter!)

Love ya boo!

I think we are toe sisters. Are you sure you weren't describing my feet?!

Enjoy the book. I'll be watching for a chance to 'borrow' it. :)

Awesome that you'll have some B.R.A. company for your last (wheeee!) 20-miler!

P.S. Hope you don't mind that I totally stole 3-Things-Thursday today.

the lost boobage and toenails will seem like itty bitty sacrifices to the marathon gods once you cross the finish line...in 30 days!!! :)

I call that book after B.O.B. Looks like a good read!

LMAO to losing your dancing ability...too much forward movement, not enough side to side.

I finally lost my first toenail of the year, right at 1500 miles.

I don't have a crazy foot fetish! Hahaha... my dog Tucker does though! He'd be happy to lick your toes. I just find it funny and entertaining the way you write about your "soldiers." I mean, I can't even get myself a blister and you're losing toe nails! And how did running take away your dancing ability? I'm lost on that one. Good luck with your 20 miler this weekend!

funny word verification: friffund
sorta reminds me of a cuss word or something, a cute one maybe.

I'm really freaked out by your M.I.A toenails. I mean, I've heard that runners have messed up toenails, I have yet to experience that, and frankly, I'm rather fond of my little piggies and their brightly colored hats ...

I'm probably going to go buy that book now, I had been looking into it for awhile, but now I'm sorta curious.

Good luck on your 20-miler this weekend, knock 'em dead and do remember to ice bath afterwards for cripes sake.

I must get that book! I can't figure out why I liked to read crap like that; but I do.

Good luck w/ your 20 miler!

Ha! Half the time I come to this blog, we're talking about your toe nails. It's about time i share my story... dated a runner a couple years back and he shared your affliction. Now, with the best of feet, I'm obsessed with looking at them. I'm forever checking out other people's feet. It's just that they are SO weird!!! But his toes, I was a woman possessed. Could. Not. Look. Away.
It drove him crazy. I know. I'm weird.

I am adding that book to my "MUST READ" list!

it's good to know you toenails haven't all fallen off... they're just well on their way there. my feet are just always going to look bad. i'll be wearing running shoes at my wedding, thanks.

good luck on the 20 this weekend! i must say i was relieved to see you weren't going on another random journey with LR
